I have been serving on the staff as church secretary at St. David's E. C. Church since 1999.
My husband, Tim, and I have been married for 30 years. We became involved at St. David's through my son, David. He brought home a flyer for Weigelstown Elementary School's Released Time Bible program. This is a ministry that allows school students to be released from their school for an hour a week to hear God's Word through Bible Stories as well as to learn and memorize Bible Verses. The Weigelstown Elementary School's Release Time Program meets at St. David's. God got me "hooked" on the Released Time program! I became a listener and eventually became coordinator. I have been with the program for 17 years. God used the Release Time Program meeting at St. David's to lead us to make this our church home. We began attending St. David's and became members.
I teach Kids Worship Hour every 5th Sunday for the 1st thru 5th grade. I also teach Junior Church for the 2-3 year old class and 4-5 year old class.
My husband and I officiate PIAA boys/mens lacrosse and football. We also teach new officials classes. I was chosen to officiate first round playoffs at Bucknell University and Tim officiated the District 3 championship game at State College.
We have one daughter, Cherise, who is employed as an IT for a
communications company and served in the US Navy for 7 1/2 years. Our son, David, has chosen the Navy for his career and is stationed in Jacksonville, FL. Whenever our daughter and son come home to visit, they visit St. David's as well because St. David's is home! Our youngest son, Levi, just graduated high school and is an accomplished musician. Levi is also a lacrosse official.
